Neurological Physiotherapy

If you or your family member has a neurological condition that affects movement, and you are looking for in-home or clinic-based treatment, then Whitewater Physiotherapy can help. Here are a few examples of conditions that we provide treatment for:

  • Stroke or acquired brain injury with resulting mobility impairment
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Degenerative neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, Muscular Dystrophy or Multiple Sclerosis
  • Cerebral Palsy or other birth related neurological impairments
  • Developmental disabilities

After detailed assessment, goals will be established and treatment implemented such as motor relearning, strengthening, gait training, balance exercises and mobility training. The functional program will encompass all spheres of movement and involve all caregivers.

Mark Peever has over 30 years of experience treating all types of neurological conditions and working together with rehabilitation teams from various settings. He has taken neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) training for adults and children, as well as motor relearning courses and specialized instruction for brain injury treatment from the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA). Although Mark is a generalist, treating all types of conditions, his main interest and breadth of experience is in the treatment of neurological impairments and multiple trauma.
